Öxarárfoss

I went hiking in Þingvellir around midnight, the sun was down but as it didn’t go far below the horizon, there Was still enough light to hang around. The park was so beautiful in the dim light, I walked for an hour in the cracked belly of earth, where the North American and Eurasian Plate drift apart.
The trail led me to Öxarárfoss waterfall where I took this long exposure.

Perito Moreno Glacier

Another picture from Argentina, let me introduce you to the magnificent Perito moreno Glacier.
Located in the Los glaciares National Park in Patagonia, it is one of the most touristic attractions of Argentina.
The glacier is HUGE, its terminus is 5 kilometers wide and 60 meters high, as high as a 20 stories building!!!
Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the few glaciers that are still growing, progressing as much as 2 meters per day!
For me it was an unforgettable experience, walking around for hours on the walkways in front of this monster.
If you stay long enough you can witness the fall of some big pieces of ice into the lagoon, the noise of it looks like the thunder and make you feel so small against nature…

On my way to El Chalten

This is the view you can have 2 miles before arriving to the small village of El Chalten in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina.

The village is named Argentina’s Trekking Capital and is famous for it’s Hiking paths and the amazing views of the mount Fitz Roy.

This day on the road, I was lucky enough to have a clear view on the Fitz Roy, which is usually covered by clouds. I parked on the side of the road and wait for the sun to go down, enlightening the sky on its way.

Vernazza, Cinque Terre

This is a sunset over Vernazza, one the five cities that compose the National Parc of Cinque Terre in Italy.
I came here in the morning to spot where I will be able to get a nice picture of the sunset, sadly, most of the hiking trails were closed due to floods that happened few days before.
Still, I was able to climb on top of the cliff that surround the village and walk few hundred meters to find this great spot.
Later on, and according to my plan, I came back for the sunset. I had to rush up here, scared to be late for the show.
Luckily I made it on time!

Green fields of Iceland

This is one of the wonderful sunset I had the chance to experience in Iceland this summer.
The light was awesome with some orange crepuscular rays going trough the clouds. I looked for a subject to capture and that old rusty gate inspired me.
